The Process

We take a methodical and considered approach to all work carried out and pride ourselves on quality of craftsmanship. Here’s a brief insight into our processes:

• We provide a quote based on information provided by the customer
• Once a quote is accepted, we establish a convenient book-in date and make arrangements with the customer to bring the vehicle or loose wheels in for refurbishment
• Once on site, wheels are removed from the vehicle (where applicable) and our specially designed spares are fitted to allow the vehicle to still be moved.
• Wheels are stripped of tyres, valves and weights and inspected for further damage before refinish work is started. If we find anything unexpected at this stage, we call the customer to advise and discuss next steps.
• Wheels are colour matched to ensure accurate reproduction of factory finish
• Wheels are cleaned and prepared in our aquablast cabinet, then dried in a purpose-built curing oven.
• Any repair work and sanding is carried out, followed by application of primer undercoat.
• Once cured, the primer is then sanded to achieve a smooth, imperfection free surface, ready to topcoat.
• Basecoat paint is mixed in house, applied using spray-guns and dried
• At this point, if a wheel is diamond-cut, we mount it in our lathe where it’s profile is probed and then cut in layers fractions of millimetres thick to achieve the original appearance
• We then apply two coats of specially formulated clearcoat to ensure a resilient finish that will look good for years to come.
• Once the wheels have cured in our ovens, we mount the tyres, refit and balance the wheels to your vehicle ensuring we inflate and torque to manufacturer specifications.
• All work follows a quality control process where we check workmanship meets our high standards. Once we’re satisfied, our reception team will call the customer to arrange payment and collection / delivery.
